We are rolling out the v0.16.0 tonight as a beta feature to some users. It will Include:

* Story reactions, viewer tracking, and private reaction notifications.
* Rate limits and automatic anti-spam restrictions.
* Account export, deactivation/reactivation, and permanent deletion.
* Media quota and abandoned-upload cleanup.
* Moderation warnings and temporary suspensions.
* Inbox and notification database indexes plus Social Health diagnostics.
* The full-screen “Opening…” loader remains removed.
* No new site-wide polling.

Swahili Social v0.15.4 is now live 🎉

This update focuses on polish, cleaner pages, and a more consistent experience across the platform.

We’ve completely cleaned up the Edit Profile page so it now feels like part of Swahili Social, without the extra WordPress theme navigation, menus, and unrelated page elements appearing around it.

We also refined Stories verification badges. Checkmarks now appear only where they make sense — inside the opened Story beside the user’s name — while the Stories rail remains clean and uncluttered. We also corrected the badge sizing so verified checkmarks now keep the same proper shape used across the rest of Swahili Social.

v0.15.4 also keeps all the major features introduced in recent updates, including:

Communities for African countries, English ↔ Kiswahili translation, private accounts and follow requests, Stories, Close Friends, Story Archive and Highlights, voice notes, Topics, Saved posts, polls, improved notifications, image viewer, Inbox reactions, suggested accounts, verification badges, and more.

This release is intentionally focused on stability and refinement, with no unnecessary new background processes or heavy additions.

Swahili Social v0.12.0 is here with major improvements across the platform.

This version introduces our new Announcements system, allowing official updates to be sent directly to users’ Notifications without appearing in the public posts feed.

Other key features already available on Swahili Social include Posts, Following and Explore feeds, threaded replies, likes, reposts, quote posts, polls, image uploads, bookmarks, drafts, post analytics, hashtags, mentions, user verification, profile customization, account switching, private Inbox messaging, notifications, LIVE · NEWS AFRICA, search, privacy controls, and a dedicated mobile navigation experience.

We have also improved the mobile header, post composer, performance, notification handling and overall interface while continuing to refine the platform for a faster and cleaner experience.
