The basic rules that help keep Swahili Social useful, safe and worth participating in.

Treat people like people

Do not use Swahili Social for targeted harassment, threats, hateful attacks, sexual exploitation or encouragement of violence.

Be authentic

Do not impersonate people or organizations in a deceptive way, manipulate engagement, automate spam, or deliberately misrepresent your identity for abuse.

Keep spam out

Repeated unsolicited promotions, malicious links, scams and coordinated platform manipulation may be removed or restricted.

Sensitive and illegal material

Content that is illegal, exploitative, or creates a serious safety risk may be removed and accounts may be restricted.

Reports and enforcement

Users can report posts. Swahili Today may remove content, limit features or suspend accounts when necessary. Context, severity and repeated behavior can affect enforcement.
